Katina (born Elena Sergeyevna Katina on 4 October 1984 in Moscow, Russia) is a
member of t.A.T.u.. She is known for being the "good girl" of the duo.
In 1994 she joined a famous Russian children's ensemble, "Avenue". She was part
of it for three years, and at age of 13 years old Lena was selected for "Neposedi",
the most popular and prestigious children's chorus at the time.
Lena can speak Russian fluently and English well. She likes to read, especially
romance novels. Lena also likes to play the piano during her free time. While
Lena did at one point study Psychology at an unknown institution in Moscow, it
was recently reported that while doing promotion for t.A.T.u.'s new album
Dangerous and Moving, she has been demitted from the academy. Her mother had
applied for academic leave for what would be the 3rd time, but was turned down.
She then went on to major in economics.
Lena has recorded some songs on her own, such as "Belochka" and "Yugoslavia" and
has not made any plans about launching a solo career, eventually. She claims to
be christian; she is not a lesbian, but believes that same-sex relationships are
"acceptable", "natural" and "normal".

The Russian version of the magazine Forbes published a rating of 50 richest stars of Russian domestic show business and sports. The rating is set by income, press coverage, and also by the interest of an audience from July 1st 2006 to June 30th 2007.

Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina spent the past weekend on the set shooting Finding Tatu, where the singers play themselves.

Recording of ZD (Zvukovaya Dorozhka) MK Festival will be aired on channel Rossiya on July 22, at 00.15 (Moscow Time).
This annual festival took place at Luzhiki Sports Complex on June 24, where Tatu sang their old hits and presented a new song Ne Zhaley (Don't Regret).

A premiere of the show Obnazhenny Showbiz (Naked Showbiz) is due on MTV Russia on July 12 at 21.30 (Moscow Time).

As we previously mentioned, Tatu are intended to treat their fans with a new video soon. Despite Tatu having spent a few months in Los Angeles, actual recording of the album remains questionable.
"I really don't know much about the new album. We haven't recorded anything on the new album just yet which has been disappointing. So I am really hoping we do.

On July 24, Tatu performed at ZD MK Festival in Moscow where they sang several of their old hits and a new song Ne Zhaley (Don't Regret). The song has two versions - English and Russian and will be included in both releases (Russian and international) of their third album but the song won't be released as a single.
